Finally! Utopia is Closer Than You Think #WeAreThe99%
You’ve said it. I’ve said it. We’ve all said that if all activists, everywhere, would concentrate on one issue at a time that we could claim victory after glorious victory. We have planeteers fighting for clean air, renewable energy or rain forest preservation. Utopians rally for the end of factory farming, fur, leather and Snapperfest. Ocean activists fight to stop whaling, shark finning, sealing and the slaughter of thousands of dolphins in Taiji, Japan. Human rights advocates want to feed the world, provide clean water or insure civil rights. Imagine if we all focused on one specific issue. There would be millions of us working together and our sheer numbers would accomplish miracles!
Whatever you passion, whatever your cause is, it can be remedied by getting your government on your side. You can save the planet, the animals and the people if only your government would lend you a voice! In the Academy Award winning documentary The Cove, we see how the Japanese government lies to its people. In A Fall From Freedom, we see how Seaworld has bought out politicians to manipulate the laws. In Forks Over Knives we learn how the government has lied to us for decades in the interest of corporations and the money that feeds greed. Everything goes back to big business and corrupt systems. If only we could get money out of politics, we could save the world!
Guess what! It’s happening! There are thousands around the world who are working to do this. They are not simply signing petitions and protesting. They are not making a documentary. They are not even on a hunger strike. Instead, they have planted themselves in public view and refuse to move until the problem is solved. They are “occupying” their cities!
The movement started with about a dozen people in New York City. Now there are thousands and it is growing. You may say, “Oh, well I am not into politics.” Well, neither am I and chances are, neither are they. We don’t want politics to be an issue when it comes to saving the air we breathe, innocent animals or our planet’s life blood: the oceans. That is exactly what the Occupy Wall Street movement has addressed in their Official Statement. See Video below . . .
Many of us are still in the flooding basement with our favorite buckets. We are attempting to toss the water out of the windows while someone else (Occupy Wall Street) has come along to fix the leak once and for all! We are still trying to pamper the symptoms while they are determined to cut out the cancer. We finally have a unified single cause that addresses everything we fight for. We finally have a specific solution that will rid this world of evil. Have you figured it out yet? It’s rather simple when you think about it. Revolution!
Join with me! Put down your buckets and support the revolution! Spread the word about Wall Street. Visit the occupied city nearest you and lend a hand. Donate food, water and supplies. If possible, join them in their occupation!
We are the media and it is our duty to get the news out!

I agree. It would be great if we all could concentrate on the same issues at the same time. If we did, we would be successful. How do we unite? We need a plan.
I know that we all have our schedules, but the plan is to give at least 51% of your energy to the issues addressed in the article.
I think this plan of action is to be commended if done in a non-violent & lawful manner. Many of the issues that are addressed in the video above, I am aware of, and agree to as concisely presented in a sentence or two. A few comments made, I am not very familiar with, so I cannot say “yes or no” to their truth because I am not caught up in the politics of all as identified. I do agree our nation needs to be as it was initially intended, that is, “by and for” the people. It no longer is as such, and we have been lied to and brought to our knees by the outsourcing mentality and greed, as well as by the deliberate and negligent contamination of our own natural resources. Regarding labor and manufacture, every dollar that goes to “China” and the rest of the world for cheaper labor and product, puts someone out of business here in the USA. I am really angry about this, and have been from the start.
The quality of our merchandise coming in, is so far below our standards of the past, and at one time, pride of the MADE IN USA PRODUCT was what the U.S. was known for. We were respected for the pride and expertise of our own artisans and workers, by the other countries. This is no longer true. The American People have been shanghaied in their own Country.
I do agree that the problems we are facing as a nation and individually are because of overgrowth of corporate greed, lax quality measures, and desire for control along with the suppression of the individual to do that which they are capable of and good at. The focus has been shifted to mass production at low cost at the expense of the individual. As for the environment, it is shameful how our own nation has allowed the land, the animals and the water to become exploited and abused. So much has been destroyed beyond repair. We sell our own land to outsiders who are not required to have citizenship. How can they have the interest of America at Heart? We, the people, must regain control of America for it’s survival, and we must not allow all our natural resources and wildlife to become either polluted or exterminated.
This is a great! I can’t believe I over looked this when you showed it to me first time Holise
Thank you for sharing this. I am all for it! Focusing on one issue at a time is great! I just hope that we can save the Dolphins in Taiji on time! Everyday I hold my breath and pray that they will have another safe day
