RIP Melissa Bowers – Fighting for Sea Shepherd Till the Very End
Melissa Bowers was a true champion for marine mammals. She was a beautiful young woman and she was taken from us far too soon. On her very last day of life, as she lay in a hospital bed trying to recover from brain surgery, she changed her facebook profile picture to this image of Captain Paul Watson. She wanted to do her part to support the effort to free Paul Watson. She asked that instead of flowers, folks make donations to her charity: Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. She never stopped thinking about the whales, dolphins & sea lions. Her ashes will be scattered to the sea. She was a huge supporter of our “One Call a Day” campaign for the dolphins of Taiji & a constant presence on our facebook page. In her memory, we ask that you keep making those calls & emails ~ right now to help free Paul Watson & over the long haul for the Taiji dolphins that she loved so very, very much. Her loss has left a huge hole in the hearts of many here at Save Misty the Dolphin. We continue our fight knowing that she is watching over us and the animals we all love so much. RIP beautiful girl ♥
Save Misty the Dolphin shared Melissa Bowers‘s photo.
